Featured in this lot is this Navajo Diné Sterling Silver Multi-stone Channel Inlay Ring by Navajo artists Patricia and Edward Becenti. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver construction that features a multi stone inlaid ring face that includes rectangular gemstones such as turquoise, lapis lazuli, and spiny oyster. Stamped motif designs include braided silver rope highlight the large face. Patricia learned the fundamentals and technique jewelry making from her parents and learned inlay from her husband, Edward Becenti, who worked for BG Mudd. While the Zuni are famous for delicate inlay, Navajo work often features bold, substantial pieces, with artists meticulously shaping each stone for a flush, flush surface or sometimes creating raised "cobblestone" effects. Stamped on the inside shank is the hallmark, "Patricia Ed Becenti Navajo Made" and "STERLING". The condition of this ring is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. Measures 1.5"W x 2.125"L x 1"D, collective weight is 33.3gms.
