Featured in this lot is this fine, authentic, original Navajo Native American Indian wool rug in a rare Klagetoh pattern, dating to circa 1930’s. The Klagetoh pattern, like the Ganado pattern, was fathered by Lorenzo Hubbell and is located just south of Ganado, AZ. This example is believed to be dated circa 1930's. This example shows a grey heathered background with two central diamond medallions and unique stepped, whimsical design in tan, red, and black/ brown. The condition of this Navajo rug is fair, showing some fading to the naturally dyed wool weave of the rug consistent with the age of the rug; the rug also shows minor damage to one of the corners of the rug. The measurements of this Navajo rug are 66 1/2" x 42".
