The lot features this astounding Navajo weaving with Wide Ruin pattern by master weaver Mary Yellowhorse from the 20th Century. This example has a nice fine weave showing handspun yarn with rare vegetal colors / dyes. The rug shows a typical Wide Ruins pattern with light pastel colors of peach, taupe, brown and white / cream. This piece is from the Toh-Atin Trading Post gallery, first established in 1957, where it was found to be an authentic example and priced for nearly $2,000. The piece comes with the Toh-Atin trading post tag marked accordingly. The rug is in pristine museum quality condition. Measures overall 52” by 31”.
