Featured in this lot we have a New Haven clock company standard time wall clock originating from the 20th century. The New Haven Clock Company started in 1853 mass producing brass movements for a local clock maker. In 1856 the company bought the clock maker out and started making clocks under their own name. In its heyday, New Haven Clock Company was the leading manufacturer of American clocks. The company went out of business in 1960. This clock is constructed out of oak paneling and shows a tin clock face. The clock face is marked "New Haven Made In The USA" and shows "Standard Time" reverse painted on the lower glass pane. The clock shows its original brass inner workings and comes with a clock key. The clock in good condition overall. The piece measures 36" tall by 15 3/4" wide.
