The lot features two beaded pouches from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. First is a Northern Plains beaded paint pouch which is comprised of Indian tanned hide, thread sewn with petit glass trade beads having a maltese cross pattern and is in colors of light blue, cobalt, greasy yellow and faceted metal. The bag has a slight dye or coloring to the bottom half and is tied off with a strip of Indian tanned hide. The second bag is comprised of Indian tanned hide and is considered a medicine pouch showing thread sewing with a red ocher / ochre dye tied with Indian tanned hide with a strip of old red stroud wool with a dye line. The bag has a medicine bundle inside. Both are well kept and attributed to the Northern Plains. The medicine bundle measures 3.5" by 2.5" and the paint bag is 3 3/8" by 2 3/8".
