Included in this lot we have an Oliver number 9 standard visible typewriter originating from the early 1900's. The writer was produced from 1915 to 1922 by The Oliver Typewriter Company located in Chicago, Ill. The piece shows steel construction with a olive green painted base. The typewriter is marked across the top of the piece reading "The Printype Pat. Nov. 5th 1912 Oliver Typewriter" on the slide and "The No.9 Oliver Standard Visible Writer" above the keys. The front of the piece is marked "Manufactured by The Oliver Typewriter Co. Chicago, U.S.A. Keep Machine cleaned and oiled No. 9". The piece shows good condition for its age with some wear and will need light repair to be in working order. The writer measures 16 1/4" wide by 14 1/2" long by 10 1/4" tall.
