For your consideration is an Oreodont Merycoidodon Gracilis Fossilized Partial Skull. The fossilized skull (lower jaw section missing) comes from the Brule Formation, a subunit of the White River Badlands in Custer County, South Dakota. "Oreodonts" or ruminating hogs, the common name for Merycoidodontoidea, are extinct superfamily of prehistoric Artiodactylids mammals most closely related to pigs, though they have no close relatives living today. They were plant-eating animals with short faces and fang-like canine teeth. They were about the size of sheep and roamed the plains of North America during the Oligocene period. The fossil shows good condition with well defined upper molars. Measures 7"L x 3"W x 3"H, weight 1lb, 12oz.
