Included in this lot we have a framed original Joe Johnson graphite on paper sketch of a oil drilling on the Bayou. Joe Johnson was an American artist known for his sketches of oil jacks and drills. The sketch displays a oil drill in the middle of the Bayou. The drill is set into the left side of the piece with silos and refineries on the right. The foreground of the sketch shows a river with three trees showing strands of Spanish moss hanging from the trees. The piece is signed across the bottom reading "Joe Johnson". The art is set into a wooden frame with a tan border around the art. The back of the frame shows an art gallery tag. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 24 1/2" wide by 18 1/2" tall with the art measuring 16 1/2" wide by 10 3/4" tall.
