Included in this lot is a pair of Papago Native American Indian, hand woven coil baskets. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert) are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skills. The baskets display coil designs, with the first showing vertical ribs. The first basket shows geometric patterns on the sides and rim. The second basket displays a tight weave and “X” pattern across the edge. The pieces show good condition, overall. The first piece measures 9 1/2" in diameter by 3 3/4" tall with the second basket measuring 6 1/2" diameter by 2 1/4" tall.
