Featured in this lot is this pair of silver gelatin's one of the Parade Grounds around Fort Lincoln and of Fort Lincoln. There are two silver gelatin's in this collection all older and shows soldiers on the Parade grounds near artillery and a flag pole. The other shows a wide view of the valley surrounding Fort Lincoln. The photographs come complete with museum or collector tags that read as follows: 1396-87 O'dell. The condition of this of this silver gelatin collection is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the photographs and shows minimal wear to the wooden frames of the silver gelatin photographs. The measurements of these silver gelatin's is 8 3/4" x 18 5/8" and the visible photographs measure 7 5/8" x 17 1/2". The collective weight of this pair of photographs is 3lb 2oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
