The lot features a Buffalo Bison horn dance club dating to the late 19th Century to early 20th Century. The dance club shows two Buffalo Bison Horns with nice dark coloring; the horns are polished, wrapped in trade cloth, and have brass/ metal tacks. The haft handle is covered in a hide that is completely dyed with a rich yellow dye and covered in various trade clothes and pony/ seed beadwork in colors of red white hearts, medium green, cobalt, black, and greasy medium blue. The base of the dance club has a horse tail hair drop, which was likely a late addition. The piece shows small repairs, bead loss, and cloth wear/ tears. The club itself measures 21”L with an additional 17” hair drop and a head that is 7.75”W by 2 1/8”D.
