For bidding in this lot is a Sioux Native American Indian beaded scout shirt. The shirt is crafted of tanned leather hide, and showcases medium cut, tanned hide fringe on the waist, down the under-arm, around the low cut neck, on the wrists, across the chest and back, and down the sides. The shirt is additionally adorned with geometric pattern trade seed bead work, around the wrist cuffs, around the neck, and down the spine. The trade seed beads include; chalk white, robin egg blue, corn yellow, semi-transparent red, black, and greasy orange. The shirt originates between the early to mid 1900's, and shows good condition overall, with no tears to the leather seams, and no apparent bead loss. The shirt measures 59 3/8" wide from wrist to wrist, and 28" long from the back of the neck line, to the waist. The shirt is approximately a men's medium.
