Featured in this lot is a Sioux Indian Pipestone (catlinite) Fountain Pen Stand, c. 1920's-1950's. The Sioux are groups of Native American tribes and First Nations peoples in North America. The term can refer to any ethnic group within the Great Sioux Nation or to any of the nation's many language dialects (wikipedia). This pen stand shows a horse shoe for holding three pens, as well as a small pillar single pen holder. The horse shoe and pillar stand on a square base that measures 4.5" x 4.5". The stand measures 3.75" tall and is in good condition.
