Featured in this lot is this Sioux Indian whimsical tanned beaded doll circa 1960's. The doll features a wonderfully and professionally crafted tanned hide, beaded, and feather decorated construction that shows the likeness of a chieftain with trade seed bead decoration that adorns the legs, shirt and moccasins. the chieftain is wearing his hair in braids and shows trade seed beads including chalk white, yellow, pink, red, light green, sky blue, and shows a necklace of trade beads and shells. The condition of this Sioux chieftain doll is well preserved with some wear to the face of the doll but otherwise shows no other signs of damage and shows well preserved condition. The measurements of this doll is 17 1/2" x 7" x 3". The collective weight of this doll is 14oz.
