For your consideration in this lot is a 1959 first edition of “The Great American West: A Pictorial History from Coronado to the Last Frontier” by James D. Horan. The story of the taming of the American West is told in pictures in this volume with 650 illustrations and maps (many in color), including 500 photos, many of which were never before published. The images are accompanied by text by the author. The book measures 12 1/4" x 9 1/2" x 1 1/4". The book has its paper dust jacket with a library tag and some damage; however, the book is in good condition.
