For your consideration is a collection of leather bound books titled "Marvelous Wonders of the Polar World" and "The Polar and Tropical Worlds". Marvelous Wonders of the Polar World was written from the narratives of Lieut. Greely, Commader Schley and Liet. Danenhower. These three men as well as countless others under their command faced death so that the world might know the mysteries of the polar regions. They documented the horrors and hardships they faced and broadcast to the world the wonders and beauty that lie in the Arctic zones. Binding on the book has worn through age. The gilded pages have held up well and the stamped leather cover and back are in good shape as well. The Polar and Tropical Worlds was written by Dr. G Hartwig and is a complete 1 and 2 volume set. Binding and cover are in okay condition. Largest book measures 10" x 7" x 2.5".
