Featured in this lot is this The Tombstone Epitaph: Dec. 1, 1881 "Justice Spicer Decision"; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The newspaper features a very long in depth article showcasing the information from the verdict given by Justice Spicer about the the accusations against Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday of the murder of Wm. Clanton, Frank McLowry and Thos McLowry during the shootout at the O.K. Corral. The article ends with a statement from Justice Spicer - "There being no sufficient cause to beliecve3 the within named" Wyatt S. Earp, and John H. Holliday, "guilty of the offense mentioned within" I order them to be released. The museum plaque is marked as follows: The Tombstone Epitaph - December 1, 1881 - Probably the second rarest Epitaph known to exist.
