The straight razor features a traditional design with a carbon handle and a formed straight blade and is marked as follows: George Wostenholm & Son - The Celebrated - Medium Hollow Ground - Sheffield. The carrying case is marked as follows: G.F. Spangenberg - Grinds Everything - 1336 Second Ave. Cor. Union Seattle Star Safety Razors - Cutlery. The razor also comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: G.F. Spangenberg - Gun dealer in Tombstone, also sold knives, razors and sewing machines. G.F. Spangenberg was a gunsmith in Tombstone, Arizona, who served both Wyatt Earp and the "Cattlemen" gang involved in the OK Corral shootout. The G.F. Spangenberg gun shop, located at 21 South 4th Street, was established around 1880. Today, there is a modern gun shop in Tombstone bearing the name "G.F. Spangenberg," but it is a separate entity with no direct historical connection to the original gunsmith. The condition of this Spagenberg straight razor is good with some wear to the leather wrapped case and the blade has lost some of its edge but otherwise good overall condition.
