Featured in this lot is this Tombstone, Arizona Territory prostitute Augustine Smith and Wesson 1 1/2 .32 cal rimfire spur trigger engraved revolver circa 1880's and was displayed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The revolver features a a top breakdown reload function with five cylinder and a 3 1/2" barrel. The top and bottom of the revolver is engraved as follows: Smith & Wesson Springfield, Mass. Pat. APR.3.55, July 5.59 & Nov. 21.66 - Augustine Tombstone. The serial number on the bottom of the grip is '112812' and shows Tusk/ Bone hand grips. The revolver comes with Augustine's original City License to operate with an 'Ill Fame' designation for a sum of $4.00 and is dated from 1898 and comes with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Smith & Wesson model 1 1/2 belonged to Augustine - a prostitute in Tombstone. There is a small section on a corresponding printed paper confirming the connection to the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum curator at the time Stephen and Marge Elliot. The condition of this Augustine Smith & Wesson is well preserved with the action functioning as intended with a slight patina adorning the barrel and the gun proper with some patina to the cylinder consistent with age. The measurements of this pistol is 7 1/2" x 3 7/8" x 1". The collective weight of this pistol is 12oz. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. G-5
