Featured in this lot are Tombstone teacher ephemera and photos from Tombstone, Arizona from the 1870-90s. The first two pieces in this lot are Beadles Dime Novels / Dialogues from 1878. The first one is titled, "Dialogues No. 16", while the second is titled, "Dialogues Bo. 22". These small books feature various play style dialogues used in some school classes. The third piece is a small, original business card from F. Herrera, a Spanish teacher and translator. The fourth piece is a small booklet titled, "Programme of the Teacher's Institute of Cochise County" which was being held on March 29th, 1893. The fifth is an unused Tombstone Public School report card showing various classes and scores for things such as days absent, times tardy, deportment, reading, spelling, penmanship, algebra, U.S. History and more. The sixth piece is a large, original photo of students at the Tombstone Public School on April 23rd, 1898. The photo lists all the students that are present on the back, along with their teacher Rose Hattich, the sister to William Hattich, who was the editor of the Tombstone Epitaph. The seventh piece is another photo but has been reproduced. It shows the Tombstone Public School in its entirety, complete with a bell tower and bell. The eighth and final piece in this lot is a small, original photo of a school in Fairbank, Arizona which is now a ghost town. It shows four young boys, possibly students and their teacher standing in front of the building. The pieces in this lot show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. They measure from 7 7/8" L x 9 7/8" W to 2 3/8" L x 3 3/4" W. They have a collective weight of 10 ounces.
