Featured in this lot are three, U.S. Military reproduction and original photos of various military groups from the late 1890s to early 1940s. The first in this lot is a reproduction photo of Strohmeyer & Wyman's 1898 photo of Troop A, Ninth U.S. Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers. The photo shows a line of buffalo soldiers on horse back, with the closest man holding a flag. The bottom of the photo is marked reading, "Troop A, Ninth U.S. Cavalry - Famous Indian Fighters. / Copyright 1898 by Strohmeyer & Wyman". The second photo is also a reproduction and shows a U.S. Cavalry man laying in the grass as he holds the reins to his horse. The bottom is marked reading, "Photo Courtesy of U.S. Cavalry Museum, Fort Riley, Kansas". The third and final is an original photo of the 101st Airborne Division entering the captured art collection of Hermann Goering, Commander-In-Chief of the German Air Force, in the small Bavarian village of Unterstein. The photos show good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage noted. The photos measure from 8" L x 9 7/8" W to 8 1/2" L x 11" W. They have a collective weight of under 6 ounces.
