Featured in this lot we have an Unmarked half stock percussion cap rifle originating from the late 1800's and is chambered in 36 gauge caliber black powder. The rifle displays a 31" long octagonal barrel, maple half stock, engraved lock plate, brass trigger guard and butt plate, and double trigger system. The lock plate displays its percussion cap hammer with the plate showing a faded etching showing a landscape scene with a hunter firing at two birds in a field. The rifle stock shows a two faded bird stamps on the left side with an under barrel ram rod and cheek rest. Mechanically the rifle shows working double trigger system with the hammer not properly locking in the ready position. The rifle shows fair condition overall with some wear and signs of damage and repairs. The rifle weighs 7lbs 8oz. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
