Featured in this lot are six various advertisements with high wheel bike scenes from the late 1880s to early 1900s. The first two are from Arbuckle Bros Coffee Company, advertising their Arbuckle's Ariosa Coffee. The first is marked reading, "Don't Move! I Shall Fall! I Know I Shall!" and shows a woman on a high wheel bike as a man tries to stabilize her and keep her from falling. The second one shows two women holding onto a high wheel bike as a third rides it. This is marked reading, "When the cats away, the mice will play". The backs of these two cards are marked reading, "Arbuckle's Ariosa Coffee / Arbuckle Bros. Coffee Co., New York". The third and fourth advertisements are identical and are from The Standard Sewing Machine Company. One is set in a lace artwork frame, while the other is plain and hasn't been set in any frame. They show a group of women watching a man on a high wheel bike resembling a sewing machine with a caption reading, "2000 Turns In A Minute, Clear The Track!". The card also reads, "The Standard / Our Name Is Our Motto / Compliments of The Standard Sewing Machine Co., Cleveland". The fifth is from London & Liverpool Clothing Company and shows two young boys standing next to their high wheel bikes.
