For your consideration is a Vintage Navajo Silver Concho Belt by Sanford, circa 1950s. Sanford & Co. was a contemporary of Bell Trading Post and The Maisel Company and produced the Southwestern style of jewelry popular during the 1930s to 1950s. The shops had stamping machines run by Navajos and then the Navajo Silversmiths would do the hand work once the piece was stamped out. Sanford Native American Indian Jewelry was sold at various tourist locations in the Southwestern United States, from the 1920s until the late 1950s. The conchos feature intricate stamped designs, "Sanford" is stamped on the hook of the clasp. A rich patina observed throughout. Measures 34.5"L, weight is 80.1 grams.
