Presented in this lot are Original Vintage Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park Enamel Painted Steel License Plate Toppers, circa 1940s-1950s. The image of an elk bull standing on a grassy sub-alpine slope against a blue sky background comes from a 1939 water transfer decal advertising for Yellowstone National Park. The image of the purplish snow-covered Teton Range in the background of Jackson Lake against a blue sky from the original 1950s water transfer advertising for Grand Teton National Park. Respective park names are below the images. Both plate toppers exhibit normal age and wear scratches and slight paint loss. Each measures 4.75"W x 5.5"L, combined weight U6.
