Included in this lot is an Original Signed Milwaukee Road Railway Photograph and Wells Fargo Free Transport Pass, 1915. Provenance: Tombstone Western Heritage Museum, Tombstone, Arizona. M. J. Larson was a superintendent for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway. Better known as the Milwaukee Road, it was a railroad that operated in the Midwest and Northwest of the United States from 1847 until 1986. In the frame, the photograph displays Larson dressed in suit and tie and leaning against a chair for the portrait. Photograph is hand signed along bottom border with a greeting, "Yours Truly, M. J. Larson". Below the photo is a Wells Fargo & Company free package transport pass, "Wells Fargo & Company Will Transport Free During The Year The Personal Packages of Mr M J Larson Superintendent Chicago Milwaukee & St Paul Ry Subject to conditions on back hereof No. U1176". Signed by B. D. Caldwell, President. American Bank Note Co NY". Burns D. Caldwell was the president of Wells Fargo & Company Express from 1911 to 1918. Both the photograph and the Wells Fargo pass are in nicely preserved condition, age tanning noted consistent with age and use. Gold gilt wood matted frame is in good overall condition, scuffing exhibited on edges. Visible area measures 5.625"W x 11.5"L, frame is 6.75"W x 12.875"L x .875"D. Combined weight is 1lb.
