The lot features a circa 1902 Copper Queen Mine Bisbee, Arizona Territory Miners folding clothing hanger and a 19th-century Tombstone, Arizona Territory Miners clothing hanger from the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum collection. The first clothes rack is foldable, making it very portable and useful in confined or small spaces. It is marked with a patent date reading, "Pat. June 17, 1902". This would have held miner's hats and coats for them as they worked deep in the mines, keeping them clean and away from the work place. No other company or makers marks are present. This was found in the Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee, Arizona Territory. The second hanger is also collapsible but shows no markings at all and is an earlier example. This hanger was recovered from a Tombstone, Arizona Territory Mine as is from the 1800’s. The hangers show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years. The first measures 13 7/8" L x 19 1/8" W, while the second measures 12 3/4" L x 20 5/8" W. They have a collective weight of 12 ounces.
