Included in this lot are Three (3) Books on Wilderness Adventures including "Frank Forester's Sporting Scenes and Characters, Vol. 2, by Henry William Herbert; "The Red Mountain of Alaska" by W. B. Allen; and, "Land Cruising and Prospecting" by A. F. Wallace. The first book features practical hunting information, the author credited in creating a great American interest in field sports. The second book relates the author's Dutton family travel series, where they trek to Alaska to hunt for buried treasure of gold. The Red Mountain in the title is named for Cinnabar, a red ore from which mercury is extracted for gold mining. And, lastly, the third book provides the ins and outs of land navigation in wilderness areas. All three books are in fair to good overall condition, illustrated covers exhibit scuffing to cover edges, intact pages exhibit age tanning and foxing. Books measure 5"W x 7.5"L x 1.5"D, 5"W x 7.5"L x 1"D, and, 5"W x 7"L x .5"D respectively, total weight 3lb, 2oz.
