Featured in this lot we have a World War I USMC M1917 steel helmet and other assorted World War I gear. The collection consists of a M1917 steel helmet, canvas gaiters, canvas anchor belt, and a pocket sewing kit with extra shoe laces. The helmet is marked across the brim reading "VB56 75LN" and with '56' painted on the helmets lining. The sewing kit contains a number of needles, two pins, a pair of scissors, and a assortment of buttons all in a canvas travel case. The collection in in good condition overall with one side of the buckle missing on the helmet and some fraying on the belt. The helmet measures 9 1/4" long by 8 1/2" wide in the interior.
