Featured in this lot is the Signed Limited Edition lithograph, "Yellowstone River" by David Ruimveld.
The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted acrylic construction that features both Brown & Rainbow trout with the map of the river naming the riffle and pools, a portion of a flyfishing rig depicted at the bottom presumably laying on shoreline river rocks. The artist signature can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the artwork with a numbering of 744/750 and shows six various tied flies scattered around the two trout. The world acclaimed and legendary Yellowstone River in Southwest Montana is one of Montana's famous premier blue ribbon flyfishing rivers and the subject of numerous books, works of art and featured in movies and the title of the famous American neo-Western drama television series on the Paramount Network. The Yellowstone River is the longest free flowing river in the lower 48 and one of North America’s most productive wild trout fisheries. This large river drains much of Yellowstone National Park and its surrounding wilderness areas. The mighty “Stone” offers more than 200 miles of high quality trout waters that include a variety of fish species and water characteristics. Many avid anglers consider this big and sometimes brawling freestone river to be the quintessential Montana fly fishing experience. David Ruimveld has been the featured artist of the Ruffed Grouse Society and has worked with many other conservation programs to raise funds for the cause. His art and illustrations can be found in several books, many galleries, fly fishing lodges, and private collections from Alaska to Belize.
