Featured in this lot is this silver gelatin of Chief Red Cloud by David F. Barry born in 1854 and died in 1934. The photograph features a wonderfully and professionally crafted silver gelatin construction that shows Chief Red Cloud wearing traditional garments with a breast collar and a headdress holding a trade blanket and a peace pipe. The photograph features a museum or collectors tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 O'dell. The condition of this silver gelatin by D.F. Barry is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the photograph and shows minimal wear to the frame. The measurements of this framed photograph is 6 7/8" x 5" and the photograph is 6" x 4 1/4". The collective weight of this photograph is 4oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
