For your consideration is a Galesi Model 9 vest pocket 6.35mm pistol. Galesi Arms was an Italian gun manufacturer formally named Industria Armi Galesi which was founded in 1910. It was based in Collebeato, on the northern outskirts of Brescia. The company was founded by Galesi Giuseppe Nicola, and was initially named Galesi F.lli, though it later became known as Armi Galesi or Industria Armi Galesi. The company manufactured patented automatic pistols, rifles and revolvers, but was most well-known for their small semi-automatics. They began to produce their pistols in 1914, following Italy's entry into World War I. Galesi Arms moved production from Trento to Collebeato, located in Brescia, beginning in the year 1921. The majority of their pistols were manufactured from 1960 to 1970, and the company went out of business in 1991. This pistol utilizes a 2 ¼” round barrel chambered in 6.35mm caliber. The left of the blue’d slide is stamped “An. It. Armi Gaiesi Brescia Brev. Mod 9” The fame is stamped on the same side “Cal 6.35”. The right side of the slide is marked reading “Made in Italy” and is marked with hallmark down the frame. The pistol is fit with black rubber grip panels. Serial Number: 169719.
