Featured in this lot we have a Remington model 24 semi auto rifle chambered in .22 short. The rifle was manufactured in January 1956 by Remington Arms company. The rifle displays 21" long round barrel, walnut stock and front grip, internal stock magazine, under frame semi auto action, and adjustable rear sight. The barrel is marked across the left side reading "22 SHORT ONLY-SMOKELESS- GREASED" with the top of the barrel reading "REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY . INC. SUCCESSOR TO THE REMINGTON ARMS U.M.C. CO. INC. REMINGTONILION WKS. ILION N.Y. U.S.A. BROWNING'S PATENT OCT 24 1915". The frame shows the action on the bottom with the shells ejecting down and the frame is marked "Model 24" with the serial number. Mechanically the rifle shows a crisp trigger and working smooth action. The rifle shows good condition overall with some light wear due to handling and age. The rifle weighs 5lbs.
