Featured in this lot we have a Smith & Wesson 38 Military & Police model double action revolver chambered in .38 Special and originating from 1905. The revolver displays a 4" long round barrel, six shot cylinder, checkered rubber grips, double action trigger system, and blue'd finish. The left side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON" with the top reading "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PATENTED FEB. 6. 06. SEPT. 14. 09. DEC. 29. 14" and the right side marked "38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG". The right side of the frame displays a Smith & Wesson roll stamp medallion with "Trade Mark" on the top and bottom. Mechanically the revolver shows a smooth action with the cylinder showing good timing. The rubber grips show a checkered design with a brass medallion on each side showing a lion design. The revolver shows good condition with some light wear across the finish due to age and handling. The pistol weighs 2lbs. Serial Number: 91575. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
