Featured in this lot for bidding is a J. Stevens Crack Shot, breech loading rifle, chambered for .22 Long Rifle. The rifle displays a 20" long round barrel, case hardened receiver, walnut stock, and fixed sights. The rifle is marked on the top of the barrel "*Crack-Shot* Pat. App'l'd For.*". These Stevens Crackshots were manufactured from 1900 to 1913 with this rifle manufactured in 1905. Mechanically the rifle shows working condition with the hammer lock and falling block side lever showing smooth action. The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona where the rifle has been on display in their collection for multiple decades, Marge and Stephen Elliott collection with many items associated with John D. Gilchriese. The rifle weighs 3lbs 10oz. Serial Number: NSN. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
